Meet Our Team At Knox County Dental

Dr. Lane grew up in the Rocky Mountains of northern Utah. There he developed a great love for the outdoors. Most of his free time was spent in the mountains hiking, hunting, fishing, camping, skiing, and riding motorcycles. After graduating from Utah State University with a finance degree, he attended Indiana University School of Dentistry. There he graduated as a Doctor of Dental Surgery, DDS. During this time, he was trained in all areas of dentistry including pediatrics, endodontics, surgery, implants, prosthodontics, and public health. He continues that education by taking courses regularly to improve and provide the best care possible. He would argue that an equally profound accomplishment during this time was meeting and marrying his wife, Rachel. They have two small boys and a black lab that keep them on their toes. One of Dr. Lane’s most enjoyable dental trips was traveling to the Dominican Republic where he placed free dental implants for those without access to care. He is a member of the ADA (American Dental Association), AGD (Academy of General Dentistry), and the AACA (American Academy of Clear Aligners), and past member of the IDIA (International Dental Implant Association). Dr. Lane has always had a desire to work in a career where he feels he is making a difference. As a dentist, he gets to do this every day, whether it is helping a young child through their first appointment, or showing an adult that a dental visit can be much more pleasant than a past experience. Dr. Lane loves when patients comment that they just had the best dental appointment they have ever had!

Sherri not only brings her pleasant personality, but also a variety of skills to her job. She has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Finance. She is also a Certified Dental Assistant and a Registered Dental Assistant. She is very knowledgeable in all aspects of managing a dental practice, particularly in filing dental insurance. Sherri has also earned her Coronal Polishing certification and is licensed to monitor nitrous oxide. She enjoys spending time with her husband, reading, going to the lake, riding in the mountains, and many other hobbies.

Lydia has been a dental assistant since 2009, and has been fascinated by dentistry since she had her braces as a teenager. She loves getting patients more interested in their dental health. She originally grew up in California, but loves the Tennessee outdoors. Lydia enjoys spending time fishing and boating with friends and family.

Becky grew up in Powell and has had a passion for dentistry since 2015.  She loves helping others and making sure they receive top-notch care.  Outside of the office she enjoys spending time with her husband, 3 dogs, and going to the lake.  She is also very excited to be a first-time mom soon!

LaTosha is a local girl who began her career in dentistry as a dental assistant in 2009. She continued to pursue her passion and became a dental hygienist in 2018. She truly loves what she does and getting to know her patients. She has a heart for volunteering and serving her community. Outside of the office LaTosha enjoys spending time with her husband and German Shepherd at the lake, in the mountains, or on the river.

A 2019 graduate from Hiwassee College with a Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene, Alex looks forward to sharing her interest in dentistry and helping all current and future patients achieve their optimal oral health. Originally from Eastern Utah, in 2016 she found a home in the Smoky Mountains where she is able to continue her love of the outdoors with her husband and two dogs.
